On Friday 17 November, over 40 security professionals in Beijing gathered for ICD’s latest industry event, an afternoon seminar to discuss advanced security solutions and industry trends. The event was attended by professionals from a range of industries and backgrounds as well as representatives from the Beijing Security and Protection Industry Association and the China Security Industry Development Association.
ICD was recently selected by leading logistics company Toll Global Logistics to design and implement a complex integrated security system at their new Singapore logistics center. With ambitious expansion plans in Asia, Toll built this strategic site to serve as both a regional hub and a local distribution centre.
Toll sought a cutting-edge, integrated security solution to secure the site, a solution which would meet the demands of their security-sensitive clients and would position Toll at the forefront of high-tech security deployment at logistics sites.

ICD was recently invited to present at the APAC Security Summit of a multinational technology company, one of the largest companies in the world.
Ricky Du, our Director of Strategic Accounts and Services, led a seminar on security technology trends where he shared knowledge about the changing significance and application of security data today and in the future.
In addition to sharing industry insights, Ricky also introduced ICD’s core business and our Premium Service offerings, demonstrating how we can help corporations further integrate security into their business operations.

Go the Extra Mile – 5% extra makes 100% difference!
This was the theme of our recent 2017 Sales Seminar, an event which brought together 60 ICD sales and management colleagues in Beijing for 2 days.
At ICD, our goal is to be our customers’ best service provider. So, how can we achieve this? We believe that one of the ways we can provide excellent customer service is by encouraging colleagues to take the initiative to go that little bit extra in every single service that we provide, from start to finish along the customer journey in ICD. By going the extra mile, we can go beyond what is expected of us and provide a superior customer experience.
This year’s sales seminar was a chance for colleagues to explore this theme further and be inspired about how to go the extra mile in work and in life. With each additional effort put in, we can build stronger, more meaningful relationships and gain more opportunities.
As well as learning and practising new skills, sharing success stories and challenges overcome (and yet to be), the event was also a chance for our sales teams from India, Singapore, Hong Kong and across China to get together, network and have fun!
Do you go the extra mile in work or in life? Why not give it a try!
A&S International, a reputable security industry magazine, recently featured ICD in a vertical solution special about 'smart office solutions', solutions which demonstrate a growing trend in corporate office management.
Introducing several solutions which can help create a 'smart office', the article remarks that visitor management solutions, like ICD's visitor management solution, play an important role in keeping offices safe whilst also making them smart.
By analysing visitor data, companies can increase operational efficiency, improve customer experience, lower costs and prepare and conducting in-depth investigations.
On Wednesday 21 June, ASIS International's Shanghai Chapter held their first Women in Security event, sponsored by ICD Security Solutions.
Held at Kathleen’s Waitan with a stunning view of Lujiazui and the Bund, the event saw 35 women working in the security industry gather together to share experiences and get to know each other.
Attendees came from a range of different backgrounds, roles and companies, all united by their unique position working in a field that is traditionally male dominated. The event included three guest speakers, with a combined 30+ years of experience working in security and safety roles for multinational corporations in Shanghai, who each shared their experiences, challenges and achievements as women working in security.
Participants were also given the chance to introduce themselves and their background to the group and to network with other attendees.
Deemed a success by attendees, there will doubtless be more ASIS Shanghai ‘Women in Security’ events held in the future, as professional women in the field see the importance of building a network, getting to know each other and sharing experiences.
So… watch this space!
