In our mission to be our customers’ best service provider, our colleagues’ professionalism and their ability to deliver high quality service is essential to achieving customer satisfaction. For our engineers working on the frontline, a key part of this is their technical ability, which not only enables them to provide better service to our customers, but also provides career development opportunities in ICD.
At ICD, we too faced many challenges. We had to change the way we work and find ways to continue to service our clients and keep connected with colleagues. But despite all this, we've come out of 2020 even stronger than ever!
Before we race into 2021, let's take a moment to look back some highlights and achievements from 2020.

The successful deployment of an integrated portal marks a significant milestone for Convergint as a global security service provider, providing a more efficient and automated approach to serving our customers globally.
At ICD, we are constantly seeking ways to utilize technology to enhance our service.
ICD was recently invited to Microsoft's Shanghai AI and IoT Insider Lab to kick-off further partnership between the companies to support our vision of technology driven service. A certified Microsoft Independent Solution Vendor (ISV), ICD, going forward, will be working closer with Microsoft’s AI and IoT experts to leverage their knowhow and expertise to accelerate the development of our services and solutions.

With the uncertainties, risks and changes brought into our lives in the current global pandemic, now, more than ever, it is important to support each other. We must support those around us, and we hope that in return, others will also extend a helping hand to us when we are in need.
Today, we share with you a story about support. About one engineer who went out of his way to support a client in critical times. But the result could not have been delivered without the help and support of his colleagues, family, and partners.
Encountering a faulty hard drive in your security system can be extremely problematic. If there is no full time, dedicated security professional at your site carrying out daily checks, it can be very difficult to identify this problem.
But late discovery can have drastic consequences.
In worst case scenarios, it can cause system failure and result in extensive loss of video surveillance footage or other important data.
In this week's Service vs ServicePlus story, we take a look at this critical issue. Through a real case, we demonstrate and how early discovery through proactive management can reduce risk and save time and money.
