Digital Marketing Specialist - Shanghai

 

ICD is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to oversee and enhance our digital marketing initiatives across Asia Pacific. You will develop, execute, and track digital marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels. This is a dynamic role with the chance to be part of a small, growing team with real opportunities for growth and development. The chosen candidate will be knowledgeable, passionate, proactive and results driven. You will report to and work closely with the regional Marketing Manager on cross-regional and targeted campaigns. Based in the Shanghai office, you will work with managers and sales teams across APAC (including China, Southeast Asia, India, Japan and Oceania) to understand local markets and create digital strategies and content accordingly.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

LinkedIn and WeChat

  • Optimize our LinkedIn and WeChat platforms and publish content
  • Work with key colleagues across regions and departments to devise specific strategies and campaigns
  • Generate monthly reports and analysis, use findings to improve content and strategies
  • Explore and manage LinkedIn advertising (PPC) for targeted content and campaigns

Content generation

  • Draft and manage annual content calendar
  • Generate topical, diverse content in line with ICD’s brand image and tone of voice
  • Inform, connect and inspire audiences to create compelling messaging and narratives to promote ICD services, culture, capabilities, technology and more
  • Summarize key activities and events for publication on WeChat, LinkedIn, and internal newsletters

Company website

  • Bring expertise and knowledge to lead company website upgrade, working with vendors as necessary
  • Improve formatting, speed, and readability, decrease bounce rates
  • Enhance SEO and keyword management
  • Collect user behavior and suggestions to make improvements
  • Seek ways to use technology and tools to enhance features and user experience
  • Explore utilizing Google/Baidu AdWords for increased online visibility and brand awareness

General

  • Ensure that the sales team is well informed about ICD’s digital marketing goals and initiatives and encourage deeper colleague involvement
  • Constantly seek ways to improve and increase the marketing department’s influence and ICD brand awareness
  • Participate in other marketing department initiatives as required, including internal communications, sales tools, events, etc.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience with 3+ years focused on digital marketing
  • Solid knowledge of utilizing LinkedIn and WeChat for B2B marketing, with proven results from previous experience
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills: native or near-native English with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing (outstanding or native Mandarin also is a plus)
  • Ability to write effective copy is a necessity
  • Experience of website management and SEO, experience using Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics to enhance website and conduct performance analysis
  • An international mindset, sensitive to cross cultural differences and enthusiastic to work with people from different countries
  • Great attention to detail, excellent project management skills and with the ability to balance several initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to solve issues and deal with queries independently, yet effective team player able to collaborate with people across regions and departments
  • Up to date on the latest marketing trends, willing to propose new ideas and new ways of doing things
  • Confident speaker, willing to give presentations and workshops
  • A fast learner, curious, driven to try new things and take on challenges
  • Interested in technology (experience in the security industry or other technical industry a plus)
  • Enthusiastic about work and life
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
