Last week was a busy week across ICD as we hosted and attended three events in three locations in two days…
Our Shenzhen team officially opened their new office last week as the team moved to a bigger office in the same building in order to accommodate the expanding team and growing business in South China.
A small opening ceremony was held on Friday to not only to ‘cut the ribbon’, but to also ‘cut the roasted suckling pig’, a tradition in South China bringing luck and prosperity to the new office.
ICD Hong Kong was also active on Friday as around 20 clients from a range of industries visited the Hong Kong office for a casual afternoon workshop around the theme of AI and deep learning applied in security.
Ricky Tsui, Sales Manager in Hong Kong, explained to attendees how video analytics features such as facial recognition, customer analysis and people counting can be used to enhance operations and business performance. In doing so he helped clients understand how security technology can be used beyond the traditional purpose of safety and security to also provide value to business operations and sales revenue.
A successful workshop, the Hong Kong team has vowed that more will follow, so watch this space!
