After ICD helped a world famous electronics company to implement a cutting-edge GE security platform for several sites in India and Mainland China, the client decided to recruit an Onsite Assistant to provide support for issues related to their security system and operation. It was decided to outsource this position to a service provider, as the client realized that significant cost and time savings could be made by entrusting the recruitment and management of highly skilled personnel to a highly experienced and reliable partner.

ICD had already demonstrated its expertise in security by implementing complex systems for the client across multiple global sites. We were therefore highly familiar with the operation and specifications of the client’s globally standardized security systems. The client also recognized the value of ICD’s strong presence throughout the Asia Pacific region, as implementing similar onsite staff programs on other sites in the future would be much easier to coordinate.
The client indicated that even though the staff would fill an assistant role, they expected candidates to have a strong background in the security industry and to be competent at coordinating with technical support teams. ICD therefore needed to help the client to find candidates that were not only highly effective communicators and coordinators but also possessed a high technical proficiency, a rare combination in the target talent pool. Even if these qualified staff were found, constant training would still be required, as the client’s security system was constantly being updated, and required the continuous study of knew technical knowledge to be operated effectively.
ICD was able successfully to recruit and complete the training of a candidate that satisfied each of the client’s requirements within 6 weeks. This short lead time was possible because ICD’s in-depth knowledge of the client’s security system and operation procedures allowed us to conduct preliminary training with considerable efficiency. Moreover, because of ICD’s regular refresher training courses, we were able to ensure that the technical proficiency of the Onsite Assistant in the long term remained sufficient to conduct administration of the client’s security system with maximum effectiveness.
By helping the client to recruit a dedicated onsite assistant, we were able to guarantee that the client’s security systems were in the hands of a highly capable security professional, supported by a regional customer service and technical team.
