ICD to Implement a security system for MSD Hangzhou New Factory

ICD has recently been chosen by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) to design and implement a security system for their new factory in Hangzhou, China.

With more than 100 years history, MSD is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world. Occupying more than 75,000 square meters, the new factory is believed to be one of MSD’s largest packaging projects in recent years. According to current design, an integrated security system consisting of access control, CCTV and alarm systems will be installed in the factory, which will include over 100 card readers, as well as Passive Infrared Sensors, an intercom system, and a surveillance system. Long range card readers and PTZ cameras will also be installed to enhance convenience and ensure safety of thefacility perimeter.

ICD Provides Consulting Service for A World Famous Theme Park

ICD recently signed a consulting contract with one of the most famous theme parks in the world. The client’s newest upcoming resort will be located in Shanghai, China, which is expected to open to the public in 2015. ICD will be assisting the client with general security consultation, coordinating security design with local public security authorities, and ensuring compliance of both international standards and local government standards. ICD will also provide a cost benefit analysis on a range of products for the client.

Lenel System Training for ExxonMobil

ICD recently provided Lenel systems training for the security and facility management team at Exxon Mobil in Shanghai. The goal was to equip the client with the know-how to fully realize their potential of their security system and maximize return on investment. It was an excellent opportunity for the end user to ask questions about different functionalities and play through simulated scenarios.

Held on site in Exxon Mobil’s office, the training was conducted by an 8 person training team from ICD’s Shanghai Office, including a Senior Account Manager, Sales Supervisor, Project Manager, System Administrator, Customer Support Manager, Professional Services Consultant, and Senior Sales Engineer. The wide range of expertise presented at the meeting has offered the trainees useful insight from both service and technical perspectives.

The entire training lasted three days and covered topics such as Technique, Design, Operation and Troubleshooting of Lenel systems. Besides an introduction to the theory, there was plenty of interaction, Q&A, testing and case studies. In addition, three demo kits were brought in for hands on training with the hardware. The customer was very satisfied with the outcome.

First Sony Ericsson Project

ICD has recently won its first contract with Sony Ericsson in Beijing, China. According to the contract, 15 turnstiles, 27 PTZ cameras and 27 access controlled doors will be installed in Sony Ericsson’s five-floor office building. The whole project is expected to be completed by the end of June.

ICD Celebrates at its 12th Annual Meeting

ICD’s annual meeting this year was a huge success with well over 200 team members attending in two separate locations: Sanya, China and Bangalore, India.

Topics discussed at the meeting included engineering and customer service initiatives but more importantly, the focus was on this year’s main priorities: hiring the right people and continuing to improve the performance of the company. The two events, filled with exciting discussions, performances, and sport competitions spanned 3 days with ICD and Brink’s teams attending from Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China and the US. CEO, Ron Efron, remarks: “We have a unique culture and a unique diversity of people. And personally I think we really do have GREAT people in ICD.” In 2011, ICD’s business continues to grow and looks to keep attracting new talent to join its ranks.
